Privacy Policy

Kismet Companion is a private business application operated for Kismet Trucking LLC. This policy explains how the application handles information when an authorized user connects a Google account.

Information the application accesses

When Gmail access is enabled, Kismet Companion requests read-only access to the mailbox that the user expressly authorizes. It may read message and thread metadata, headers, message bodies, labels, and attachments in the Inbox, Sent mail, and archive. The application also records the connected Google account identifier and authorization status needed to maintain the connection.

How information is used

The application uses Gmail information only for Kismet's internal operations: identifying dispatch and load records, collecting supporting documents, linking evidence to loads and financial events, reconciling records, and presenting exceptions for authorized review.

Gmail access is read-only. Kismet Companion does not use Gmail permission to send, modify, or delete email.

Storage and security

Application credentials and authorization tokens are kept in access-controlled secret storage. Operational records and retained evidence are kept in private, access-controlled cloud services. Access is limited to authorized operators and service identities, and the private operating dashboard requires authentication.

Sharing and disclosure

Kismet Companion does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles. Information may be available to authorized Kismet personnel performing their normal business duties and to cloud or software providers acting only as processors needed to operate and secure the application. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Information is retained only for Kismet's operational, accounting, security, and legal recordkeeping needs. An authorized user may revoke the application's Google access at any time through the Google Account permissions page. Revocation stops future collection but does not automatically delete records already retained for legitimate business or legal purposes. Google API Services User Data Policy

Kismet Companion's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Policy changes

Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
